“For the Love of Blue” is the Chicago Alumni Chapter’s signature scholarship event that enables the JSU Chicago Alumni Chapter (JSUCAC) and supporters to party with the purpose of honoring our hardworking alumni and raise funds to support Chicago area students attending Jackson State University.

The theme for this year’s event is “Thee Iconic Legacy Continues”. This year we will be honoring five of our distinguished alums:

  • Ms. Carla Howard Anderson
  • Ms. Guyna Johnson
  • Commissioner Dennis Deer
  • Mr. Andre Pennington and
  • Mr. Joseph Haley

Each year, since 2009, the JSUNAA Chicago Alumni Chapter has hosted this signature scholarship fundraising event to raise funds to provide scholarships, support, and special programming by the chapter for our Chicagoland scholarship recipient students. With the success of this event through the years, we have raised close to $200,000 in scholarships, supporting over 80+ freshmen or returning students. The Chicago land area is second only to the state of Mississippi in the number of students attending Jackson State University. The financial needs are great, and we are counting on you to help us continue our legacy of support! There are several ways you can support this important effort:
