“For the Love of Blue” is the signature annual scholarship event hosted by the JSU Chicago Alumni Chapter (JSUCAC) that brings JSU alumni and supporters together to party with a purpose. This event helps provide funding for scholarships and special programming for Chicago area students attending Jackson State University.

In addition, members of our alumni chapter are nominated and honored in recognition of their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

The theme of this year’s event is “A Thread in Thee Fabric of Black Excellence, Masquerade Ball” We are excited to honor five of our distinguished alums:

  • Nicole Gould
  • Veronica Hill Jackson
  • Gwendolyn Lawson
  • Theejuana Love
  • Teena Moore

The success of “For the Love of Blue” has had a significant community and financial impact, raising over $200,000 in scholarships for over 100+ Chicagoland students since its inception in 2010.  The Chicagoland area is second to the state of Mississippi in the number of students attending Jackson State University.

The financial needs are great and growing! Here are some ways you can show your Love for the Blue:

  • Become a sponsor. To help us support more students. For details, view the Sponsorship package
  • Purchase tickets to support your favorite honoree or donate: Give any amount! It all helps! Visit: ForTheLoveofBlueXV
